TEK9.cs, sérieux prétendant au titre de numéro 1 belge va bientôt participer aux finales nationales des WCG. Il était temps de faire un point sur cette équipe.

Je suis parti rencontrer un joueur des TEK9, son pseudo, nookbrid, voici les réponses aux questions posées.

* Lan-Area|NIAK: Bonjour nookbrid, peux tu te présenter à nos lecteurs ?

- nookbrid: Bonjour, je suis Jules Wydoodt, j'ai 18 ans (bientôt 19 ), je vis à Bruges et j'étudie le droit à Gand et j'adore le snowboard !
Actuellement, je joue pour TEK9 Networks Ltd; j'ai joué pour l'équipe belge, rodcad Gaming, cebrenis et oun dans le passé.

* Peux tu nous dire comment est arrivé Counter-Strike dans ta vie ?

- C'est très simple, mon demi-frère m'a emmené avec lui dans un cybercafé où il y avait CS (1,0 ou une version bêta à l'époque) et j'ai immédiatement eu une dépendance au jeu. .. mais après quelques temps, le cybercafé a fermé, j'ai alors arrêté de jouer pendant un an ou 2 et j'ai recommencé au début de 1,5 jusqu'à présent .. :)

* Comment as tu choisi ton pseudo ?

- J'ai été un très grand fan de Limp Bizkit il y a longtemps et ils ont cette chanson intitulée "nooki"…
Et pour "nookbrid",  tous les defusekids à la Starlan 10 disaient que je ressemble à hybrid, je le connaissais déjà pour avoir mix avec lui chez les eualive alors j'ai changé mon pseudo pour le fun et j'ai gardé celui-ci depuis lors.

* Vous avez récemment terminé à la seconde place pour les qualifications ESWC, quel a été votre sentiment en échouant si près du but ?

- Un peu de déception, bien sûr, car c'étaient des matchs serrés et de l'imcompréhension dû au fait qu'on a pu perdre de_train, nous devrions avoir remporté cette carte, puis la troisième carte était un truc du genre tuscan, tout peut arriver sur cette carte.

* Vous vous êtes qualifié pour la finale nationale des WCG , quel est votre préparation à ce tournoi ?

- À l'heure actuelle, nous ne jouons pas parce que j'ai des examens à nouveau: (Mais à partir de septembre nous allons recommencer l'entrainement, en ligne ainsi que des bootcamps normalement ).

* Si vous échouez, ce que je ne vous souhaite pas, resterez vous ensemble tous les 5 ?

- Difficile de répondre à cette question parce que je n'ai pas un globe en verre pour voir l'avenir, mais j'espères biensur que nous allons rester ensemble et ne pas échouer à cette qualification.

* hutCh a fait un passage éclair à vos côtés, qu'est ce qui explique son arrivée ainsi que son départ ?

- Comme chacun le sait, sFx est devenu inactif, nous avions besoin d'un cinquième joueur mais nous n'arrivions pas à en trouver un, mais quelqun -Je pense qu'il s'agit de michiel - à donné l'idée de jouer avec hutCh. Nous avons tous donné notre accord puisque nous avions déjà joué une fois avec lui chez cebrenis il y a longtemps. Au début, c'était bien, mais après un certain temps, ciseta voulait le retour de wakka dans l'équipe ...

* Quels sont les moyens que vous apporte TEK9, en êtes vous content ?

- Eh bien, au fond, nous avons tout ce qu'il nous faut (serveur, du matériel, des vêtements,…) et nous avons un staff génial derrière nous (dfb, nth, vgas & nipstar). Ce sont des chouettes gars et ils nous supportent bien ! Et tout est géré de manière très professionnelle, c'est vraiment très agréable.

Biensur je (nous) suis (sommes) heureux, TEK9 est une des plus grandes et plus importantes organisations du benelux et même internationale, c'est un grand nom. Ainsi, lorsque nous avons reçu l'offre de rejoindre la section 1,6 nous étions tous  très ravis et excité.

* On a pu voir TEK9 en France il y a quelques mois, allez vous vous déplacez dans d'autres compétitions internationales ?

- Je l'espère vraiment, la MIAGE lan était une grande expérience et quelque chose de vraiment amusant à faire.
Espérons que nous pourrons commencer notre aventure internationale avec les WCG en Allemagne, puis nous verrons ce qui se passera ensuite

- nookbird: Hello, I'm Jules Wydoodt, I'm 18 years old (almost 19 ), I live in Bruges and I'm studying Laws in Ghent and I just love snowboarding!
Currently playing for TEK9 Networks Ltd.; played for team belgium, rodcad Gaming, cebrenis and oun in the past.

* Could you tell us how is counter-Strike happened in your life ?

- It's very simple, my stepbrother took me with him to this internet café where they played CS (1.0 or some beta back then) and I immediately got addicted to the game ..but after a while, the café closed so I quit playing for a year or 2 and started again at the beginning of 1.5 until now.. :)

* How did you choose your nickname ?

- I was a very big fan of limp bizkit a long time ago and they had this song called“nooki”…
And“nookbrid” , well at Starlan10 everybody from defusekids said I looked a bit like hybrid and I already knew him from mixes with eualive so I changed my nick for fun and like, kept it like this ever since.

* You've recently completed the second place for eswc qualifications, what was your feeling in failing so close to the goal ?

- A little bit of disappointment of course, since it were close games and disbelief of how we lost de_train, we should have won that map and then third map was like tuscan, everything could have happened on that map.

* You are qualified for the national finals of the WCG, what is your preparation for this tournament ?

- At the moment we aren’t playing because I have exams again :( But from September on we will start practicing again, online pracc’s and bootcamps normally ;)

* If you fail, which I do not want to, you stay together all 5 ?

- Hard question to answer because I don’t have a glass globe to see the future, but I sure hope we stay together and don’t fail at the qualifier

* hutCh made a lightning move at your side, what explains his arrival and his departure ?

- As everybody knows sFx went inactive, so we needed a new fifth and basically at first we couldn’t come up with somebody, but then somehow –I think it wasmichiel- that introduced the idea to play with hutCh. We all agreed since healready played once with us in cebrenis long time ago. At first it went ok, but then after a while ciseta just wanted wakka back in the team …

* What are the support that brings you TEK9, are you happy ?

- Well, basically we’ve got everything we need (server, gear, clothing,…) and we’ve gota great staff behind us (dfb, nth, vgas & nipstar). They are great guys and really supportive! And everything just gets handled on a very professional way,it’s really nice.

Of courseI/we am/are happy, TEK9 is one of the greatest and biggest organisations in the benelux and even internationally it’s a big name. So when we got the offer to join as 1.6 squad we all were very happy and excited.

* We saw TEK9 in France a few months ago, will you move in other international competitions ?

- I really hope so, miage lan was a great experience and really fun thing to do.

Let’s hope we can start our international adventure with WCG germany and then we will see what happens next ;)
